Since the beginning of 2010, our planet has been witnessing intensification of many natural disasters: strong earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, floods, landslides, huge sinkholes, etc. This fact cannot but alarm ordinary people and governments of various countries alike.

WOSCO Information Agency has interviewed the President of the Global Network for the Forecasting of Earthquakes (GNFE) Prof. Elchin Khalilov, asking him to comment on the forecast of the disastrous earthquake which occurred in China on April 13th, 2010.

On 4 April 2010 GNFE placed in its official website the short-term forecast of the strong earthquake in the South part of Sumatra Island of Indonesia
